Gutter Cleaning & Brightening in Round Rock

Gutters cleared and exteriors brightened with the tiger stripes removed, backed by a 7-day clean guarantee.

Two jobs in one visit: clear the inside, clean the outside

Gutter work has two parts. The inside needs debris cleared and the downspouts flushed so water leaves the roof edge the way it should. The outside, the face of the gutter, collects dirt, oxidation and the dark vertical streaks usually called tiger stripes. We do both, and we do not use the visit to sell you things you do not need.

What is included

Gutter cleanout

Leaves, pollen clumps, oak catkins, seed pods and shingle grit removed by hand and bagged or hauled. We flush the gutter run once it is clear.

Downspout flush

We run water through each downspout and check that it moves freely. A clog we cannot clear is reported to you instead of ignored.

Exterior brightening

The outside face of the gutter, fascia edge and downspouts are cleaned to remove dirt, oxidation and tiger stripes.

Cleanup

Debris does not stay on your lawn or driveway. We rinse down the areas we worked over.

What tiger stripes are, and what we can do

Tiger stripes are the dark, vertical streaks on the face of gutters and sometimes on the fascia. They form where roof runoff carries dirt and residue down the face of the gutter and leaves a mark each time it rains. On painted and aluminum gutters, a gentle cleaning solution and a soft brush usually lifts them. We do not use high pressure on gutters, because it dents thin aluminum and can force water behind the fascia.

Older or oxidized finishes may brighten without looking brand-new. If the paint is chalking or peeling, cleaning improves it but cannot repair it, and we will say so before we start.

Why gutters matter before and after pollen season

Central Texas gutters collect a lot of organic material. Oak pollen and catkins arrive from March to May, with the peak in April, and pecan pollen peaks from late April to early May. Cedar pollen runs from about mid-December to mid-February. Debris plus shingle granules sit in the trough, hold water and, when it rains, overflow at the worst point. A good rhythm is one cleanout after the spring pollen and leaf drop and another in late fall, with cleanup after major storms. If you have trees overhanging the roof, you may want more.

After the September 24, 2023 hailstorm, many Round Rock and Georgetown roofs lost granules. If you see lots of grit in your gutters, it is worth getting your roof looked at by a roofer. We clean gutters; we do not replace roofs or diagnose damage.

How a gutter visit runs

  1. Quote. We confirm home size, stories and linear feet from photos or a short visit and give you a written price.
  2. Set up. We use ladders safely and protect landscaping beneath the work area.
  3. Clear. Debris removed from every run and bagged.
  4. Flush. Water through the gutters and each downspout to confirm flow.
  5. Brighten. Exterior faces cleaned, then rinsed.
  6. Report. We tell you about sagging sections, loose hangers, or leaks we notice. Repairs are not part of the base price, and we do not push them.

What we will not do

  • Repair or replace gutters. We flag problems and leave repairs to you or a gutter contractor.
  • Work on roofs. We stay on a ladder at the edge. Roof cleaning is a separate service; see roof soft washing.
  • Add a surprise charge. If something unexpected comes up, such as unusually heavy debris, we tell you before we continue.

Cost

Gutter cleaning and exterior brightening is quoted by the home. The price moves with stories (two-story homes take more time), linear feet of gutter, how packed the gutters are, and whether you want the outside brightened as well as the inside cleared. Adding gutters to a house wash visit is the easiest way to get a consistent result, since the same dirt that stains your siding runs down the gutter faces. Final price confirmed in writing before we start. See the pricing page for every service.

Our guarantee

If we miss something, tell us within 7 days and we come back and fix it at no charge. We are insured, with a certificate available on request.

Gutter cleaning questions

Gutters and window cleaning make the most sense on the same ladder day, and most homeowners add house washing for the walls below.

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Round Rock?

It depends on the number of stories, the length of gutter and how clogged they are. Quotes are free. We confirm the final price in writing before we start.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Most homes do well with two cleanouts a year: after oak and pecan season in late spring and again in late fall. Homes with trees overhanging the roof may need more. After a big storm, a quick check is worthwhile.

What are tiger stripes on gutters?

They are dark vertical streaks on the gutter face, formed as runoff carries dirt and residue down the front of the gutter. A gentle cleaning solution and soft brush usually lifts them without damaging the finish.

Do you pressure wash gutters?

Not with high pressure. Thin aluminum dents easily and pressure can push water behind the fascia. We use a cleaning solution, soft brushing and low-pressure rinsing on gutter exteriors.

Do I need to be home?

Not usually. We need access to the exterior of the home and the gutters. We confirm timing the day before and tell you when we are done.

Can you clean gutters that have guards?

We can clean the exterior and flush the downspouts in most cases. Guards that clip or screw on often have to be lifted to clear the trough, so we confirm what is possible when we quote.
