Pressure Washing in Stone Oak, Round Rock

Pollen, leaf stains and mildew cleaned off safely, with a firm written price and a 7-day clean guarantee.

Cleaning homes in Stone Oak

Stone Oak is a Round Rock community with its own Stone Oak Homeowners Association. We do not make claims about the age, builder or rules of the neighborhood, because we would rather tell you what we actually know: how Round Rock homes with oaks and other mature trees tend to get dirty, and what fixes it without damaging anything.

The common thread is organic debris. Oak pollen and catkins fall from March into May, peaking in April, and pecan pollen peaks in late April and early May. If you have trees on or near your lot, that is when yellow film, fallen catkins and leaf residue build up on concrete, siding and fences.

Tannin stains and why timing matters

Oak and pecan leaves and acorns leave brown tannin stains that soak into porous concrete. The sooner they are treated, the better they come out. Set-in stains can be very hard to remove, and we will tell you honestly if one may lighten but not disappear. If you have a stained driveway, walkway or patio near trees, a cleaning this season is easier than one next year.

For flat concrete we use a surface cleaner, which gives an even result without wand stripes. See driveway cleaning and patio and concrete cleaning. Our driveway stains guide shows how to tell tannin from rust, oil and limestone dust.

Shade means algae and mildew

Tree cover keeps north-facing walls and fence lines damp, and damp surfaces grow green and black growth faster. Homes in communities with shade commonly show it on siding, fences and the roof first.

  • Siding and stucco: soft wash at low pressure to kill growth at the surface instead of blasting it. See house washing.
  • Wood fences: low pressure with the grain, since cedar and pine can gouge. See fence cleaning.
  • Gutters: leaves and catkins fill them. Clean-out and exterior brightening is quoted by the home. See gutter cleaning.
  • Roof: soft wash only, never high pressure. See roof soft washing.

Stone Oak Homeowners Association notices

If the association sent a letter about mildew, stained concrete or a dirty fence, check it for the cure period and deadline. We cannot promise how the association will respond, but cleaning is typically what these notices ask for. Take a before photo, schedule the wash, then photograph the result. Our HOA exterior standards guide walks through the steps. If you are on the association side and need sidewalks, signs or common areas cleaned, see HOA and commercial washing.

Best timing

  1. Late spring. Book after oak and pecan drop, around May, for a clean that lasts through summer.
  2. Early fall. September to November is good for a post-summer algae and mildew reset before cedar season begins.
  3. Avoid mid-December to mid-February for big jobs, since cedar pollen coats surfaces again, peaking in mid-January.

Hard city water, about 14.5 grains per gallon, can leave white spotting on glass and sprinkler-hit walls anywhere in Round Rock, so we tell you what to expect. Washing is allowed on your assigned watering day, and we work to keep wash water out of storm drains. See pricing for the full list.

Stone Oak questions

Why are my driveway and walks brown under the trees?

Usually tannin from oak or pecan leaves and acorns soaking into the concrete. It lifts best when treated early. Older stains may lighten but not fully vanish, and we tell you that before we start.

Is it better to clean after pollen season?

Yes. Oak pollen runs March to May and cedar from mid-December to mid-February. Washing during heavy pollen means a yellow film returns within days. We suggest booking after the peak, around May or in early fall.

What does a small concrete cleaning cost?

It depends on the size of the area, the surface and how stained it is. Quotes are free, and the final price is confirmed in writing before we start.
